#7 St. Thomas Aquinas at #1 Bishop Gorman
Another week and another tough out of state opponent heads to Vegas to try and knock off #1 Bishop Gorman. The Gaels have played the toughest schedule in the country and the closest margin of victory has been 15 points. Tate Martell has been dominant this year and Tyjon Lindsey made his debut last week to give him just another option to throw to. For as good as the Gaels offense has been the defense has been very good as well. St. Thomas Aquinas lost their first game of the year to Booker T. Washington in a sloppy game the blew at the end. Since then the Raiders have been dominant giving up only 6 points. The Raiders need QB Jake Allen to play his best game of the year to have a chance. The game should be able to keep it close at halftime as Gorman has gotten off to slow starts. The Gaels have been dominant in the second half and it will be after midnight EST for the Florida players which wont help their cause.

#14 St. John’s at #3 Dematha
The battle for WCAC supremacy will go down Friday night at Dematha High School. We are very high on Dematha when compared to some of the other national polls and this will their chance to prove us right but it wont be easy. The Stags have played a good schedule so far but nobody with the talent that St. John’s will bring to the table. It’s no secret we are huge fans of Dematha’s underrated QB Beau English. If there are 100 better quarterbacks in the 2017 class we sure haven’t seen them. The QB on the other side of the ball, Kasim Hill, is having a great season as well. While the QB’s are getting the attention we expect both defenses to show up big time. Dematha has yet to score less than 35 this season but if they get there this week they should win easily. We expect it to come down to the 4th quarter and Beau will make a play to lead the Stags to their 18th straight win over the Cadets.

#22 Bergen Catholic at St. Joseph Regional
The top two teams in New Jersey square off in this one. Bergen Catholic was banged up last week but still got a nice win over Paramus Catholic. The Crusaders need both QB Johnny Langan and Josh McKenzie to be back close to 100% as St. Joseph Regional has a stout defense. In the Green Knights only loss of the season they held #14 St. John’s to a season low 21 points. This game could play out very similarly to the Bergen-Paramus game last week.
