There was not a lot of movement this week with the regular seasons winding down in the big states and the early round playoffs going in the rest. Previous #17 St. John’s did lose their rivalry game against a good Gonzaga team. Those teams meet again this week in the WCAC playoffs. The loss opened the way for Mission Viejo to enter the rankings this week. The Diablos are undefeated and boost one of the best offenses in the country. They will get a chance to shoot up the rankings over the next few weeks as they play in the toughest playoff bracket in the country, CIF Southern Section Division 1. That bracket also has #4 Mater Dei, #6 Centennial and #12 St. John Bosco. Fortunately the bracket sets up so all 4 can make it to the semifinals.
