Week 1 is in the books and Jamie DeMoney from PrepNation is the new leader in the Pick’Em at 15-4. This week we have 11 games on the slate. There are 11 games because the Dutch Fork versus Mallard game in week 0 was rained out and there are so many good games this week. There could’ve been 20 games this week with all of the good games. The game of the week goes down in Hoover, Alabama when St. John’s College comes to town. Both teams are ranked in the top25 national polls. New Jersey and Texas finally kick off this week and there is a big battle going do in Katy, Texas when North Shore comes to town. The teams met last year in the state playoffs and Katy whopped the Mustangs who will be looking for revenge. Two New Jersey teams are in Pick’Em games this week. Bergen Catholic go down to Georgia to play a top 10 Grayson team in the “Gwinnett vs. The World” event. Also meeting at the event are Deerfield Beach and Buford. The Freedom Bowl is also going down in Georgia. St. Joseph Regional takes on American Heritage in one of the six games at the event. The final game of the even has North Gwinnett and Wekiva meeting in what could go a long way in determining Georgia vs Florida bragging rights. There are five Ohio teams in the games this week. There are two in state games going down between Mentor at St. Ignatius and Colerain at St. Xavier. There were other big Ohio in state games as well but as we said there were a lot of good games cut this week. The other game has Cass Tech headed to Lakewood to take on St. Edward. Dematha heads to Philadelphia to take on one of Pennsylvania’s best, Imhotep Charter. The Stags will be looking to bounce back from a bad loss to St. Thomas Aquinas.
