One of the best weeks, if not the best, weeks of the regular season is here. The highlight of the week is the #1 out of state battle of the year when IMG travels to Mater Dei. These two perennial powerhouses and top 2 teams from last year finally square off in what is sure to be a classic. The winner of this game is still alive for the national title while the loser is likely done. Six of the sight experts are going with the Monarchs in this one. Another big game this week would be the clear top game in almost any other week. Miami Central travels up to Ft. Lauderdale to take on St. Thomas Aquinas. This is a big game for all those in the Dade vs Broward debate that is a big one in south Florida. Down in Georgia there is a battle of what many people thought was the best team in the state preseason, Grayson, versus what many people believe to be the best team now, Colquitt County. This is by far the biggest game left on the Packers regular season schedule so they will need a big victory to justify their lofty national ranking. Seven of the eight experts think they will get the win. California has another big game this week when top 10 teams in the state, Mission Viejo and Orange Lutheran, meet in an Orange County public versus private school showdown.

If those games weren’t big enough there are some big in-state matchups going down around the country. American Heritage and Chaminade-Madonna meet in a Broward County state champions private school showdown. Both teams are looking to bounce back from early season losses to set up another title run. Bosco Bergen week is going down in New Jersey with the Crusaders looking to bounce back from last week’s embarrassing loss. In Georgia Buford travels to Archer for a 5A versus 7A showdown. Clinton and Madison Central meet in an always big district game down in Mississippi. There is another big district game in South Carolina where Gaffney is traveling to Duncan to take on Byrnes. Finally in Oklahoma we have a rematch of the 6A-I title game between Owasso and Union which was won by the Rams. Check out all the picks below.
