Week 9 is in the books and the game of the year was won easily by #1 Mater Dei over #2 St. John Bosco. The Monarchs jumped out to a big early lead in the 1st and it was pretty much over. The two will likely meet again in about a month and the Braves will be looking to do what the Monarchs did to them after losing in the regular season last year. There is not a lot of shakeup this week as the only other team to lose was Good Counsel to Dematha. The Falcons drop out of the poll this week although they will have a chance to get back in with wins in the WCAC playoffs. St. Edward makes their debut in the rankings this week. The Eagles and Mentor seem to be the clear cream of the crop in Ohio this year.

We have a couple of great games this week that could shake up the rankings next week. IMG travels to Alabama to take on Hoover. There is a big matchup in Georgia with Colquitt County heading to #11 Lowndes. A win for the Vikings could propel them into the Top 10 while the Packers could jump into the rankings. There is a big WCAC game in DC where Dematha and St. John’s will square off.
