Week 8 is int he books and there was not a lot of shakeup in the rankings this week. Only previous #25 Oxbridge Academy lost and that was to #2 IMG. IMG put in another dominating performance. The Crusaders will likely not play another ranked team all year so this was a statement game for them and they definitely made a statement by winning 38-0. The Thunderwolves loss made way for the Miami Northwestern Bulls to make their way into the rankings for the first time all year. The Bulls defeated Miami Central in double overtime in what was one of the best games of the year. Not only was it a rivalry game, Central was also playing to continue their season and make the state playoffs. The Bulls ended those hopes and showed they are the team to beat in Dade County this year. Their only loss on the year is a 2 point defeat to #10 American Heritage. The other potential game of the year candidate was won by #19 Warren Central over St. Xavier (OH). The Warriors won on a hail mary on an untimed down thank to St. Xavier having 12 men on the field.
