If you haven’t yet heard of Jacques Patrick, look him up. The talented running back out of Orlando, Florida had over 2000 yards rushing in 2012 and scored 30 touchdowns. He holds offers from numerous schools including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State and many more. I caught up with the 4-star running back this week and got his take on a few things.

Q: What is your impression of Ohio State so far?

Jacques Patrick: “They are recruiting me hard and I like Coach Meyer a lot. I hope to get back this summer.”

Q: What stands out to you the most about Auburn?

Jacques Patrick: “My relationship with Coach Horton. I like him a lot. I feel like Auburn would be a good fit for me if that’s where I decide to go.”

Q: What schools would you like to visit during your senior year that you might not have seen yet?

Jacques Patrick: “I really wanna try to visit USC, UCLA, Oregon, Texas, and Oklahoma.”

Q: How big of a deal is it for you to stay in-state for college?

Jacques Patrick: “It makes it hard to leave the state because of how well the in-state schools have been doing these last couple years, but it’s not a priority for me to stay in-state, so my options are open to out of state schools.”

Q: What do you feel you need to work on before moving on to the next level?

Jacques Patrick: “I would say change of direction.”

Q: What player at the pro or college level do you most compare your game to?

Jacques Patrick: “At the pro level, LeGarrette Blount, and at the college level either Todd Gurley or Derrick Henry.”
